For what it's worth...
I recently ordered and received a copy of Ai's SMILY CD-only single (Japanese Version) from YesAsia.
Surprisingly, my copy came with a large 'Smily' sticker. Shocked
Confused
Now, I had always thought that this was a First Press Only Bonus...
Perhaps the First Press was a different sticker? Or the sticker just comes with all of the pressings? It seems unlikely that YesAsia wouldn't have sold out of the First Press by now...
Anyone care to confirm?

Wow, 10% commission? That's super high! My YA purchases are usually over $50 thanks to typical Japanese and Korean media prices, so you'd get 5 whole dollars for a $50 purchase? Awesome.

I had this happened to me once too. When I ordered the Momo no Hanabira CD-only, I got the picture book with it. I'm pretty sure the stickers only come with the first press item. And I'm sure you're right, it's highly unlikely that YesAsia still has the first press item after such a long time.

So here's my theory. For each item, YesAsia will tell you when they'll ship an item. For recently release items, it'll usually say 1-2 days. For these, I assume that they have it in stock at their plant/office. For items that say longer than 1-2 days (7 days, 7-14 days, 21 days, etc.), I assume they don't have it in stock but they're confident they can get it from other places (like amazon, other Japanese stores) within this time period. So here's where luck comes into play. If they happened to locate a store that by some odd chances that still has first press copies, that's the copy we'll get. Cause YesAsia couldn't care less if it's a first press or not, they just want to send out the item to us ASAP.

That makes sense.
I wasn't aware that YesAsia sold from outside their own stock. I just wanted to ask/bring it up in case someone else who was a big SMILY fan wanted to try for a sticker.
Nothin' like dumb luck, huh? Laughing

As for Momo no Hanabira... I'm not sure where the info came from, but:

I always assumed it was any of the other First Press books, but perhaps no? Has anyone else had the same experience as Aprillis.?

I've read that about the first press Momo no Hanabira item too. But on her official site it said:

For what it's worth, I'm going by the information on her official site.

Ah.
Well, like I said, I don't know where the 'non-limited edition' info came from.
I'm sure her site is the best authority on this. Giggle

We're just lucky! Love

Wow! That's amazing! Look at all the money! I...I had no idea...Well, I'm glad we can use this to contribute, so that you don't have to sell ad space on here. Let me tell you, it is so nice not having those annoying ads all over the place! Nod It also makes me feel good to buy using the associate link, so you get money to run the forum, since I've never had anything that wasn't already upped on here, so I've never upped anything except pictures for people. Sad So it feels good to do this for Ch-Ai. Smile
Well, my purchases will be in the March list, I'm sure. So we can buy any product through the associate link, and still contribute? Like, our order doesn't have to have an Ai product in it, does it? Because mine didn't...If you wanna know, I don't mind saying that I bought the Korean version of Arashi's 5x5, a little Korean plushie thing, and I pre-ordered the first press CD+DVD Japan version of YUI's next album. So...it still counts, right?

Yes all items that are brought using the associated links counts, it doesn't have to be Ai related items.

Glad I can help, I saved your link as my Yes Asia bookmark so it always gets used when I go there.

I don't know how many other UK members there are but the best thing about YesAsia is that they seem to have a distribution hub in the UK. This means you avoid import duty which adds 17.5% of the value of the goods, plus a number of other charges which you have to pay before you can receive your order. It's a real pain Mad

Do many other countries have import duties they have to pay?

In the United States, I do not pay anything extra to import. I've heard from a Brazilian friend of mine that by the time the CD gets into his hands he pays nearly twice what I do! And I forget but some natural disaster or something backed up the importing place one time so he had to wait many weeks to get stuff. Anyway this is what I hear from him, other places do this too I think.

And through experimentation I have determined you are not allowed to use more than one associate link for any one order, in case anyone would like to know.
